Coconut Replanting & Rejuvenation (R&R) Application Assistance

💰 Scheme Benefits

Total Subsidy: ₹54,000 per hectare (disbursed over 2 years)

Component 1: Cutting & Removal:

• Subsidy: ₹1,000 per palm
• Cap: Maximum ₹32,000 per ha (32 palms)
• ⚠️ Important: Even if more than 32 palms are diseased, the farmer must cut all of them to eradicate the infection source, bearing the extra cost personally.

Component 2: Replanting:

• Subsidy: 50% of seedling cost (Max ₹45 per seedling)
• Cap: Maximum ₹4,500 per ha (approx 100 seedlings)

Component 3: Rejuvenation (Integrated Management):

• Subsidy: ₹17,500 per ha (25% of the estimated cost of ₹70,000)
• Disbursement: Paid in 2 annual installments of ₹8,750 each

Objective: To manage root wilt and other diseases by removing senile/disease-advanced palms, replanting with quality seedlings, and rejuvenating the remaining healthy palms.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Area Limit: Maximum 1 ha per beneficiary

Target Palms: Palms yielding less than 10 nuts/year due to old age or disease

Exclusion: Farmers who availed LODP, PICCS, or R&R benefits in the last 5 years are NOT eligible.

⚠️ Important Conditions

Timeline:

• Cutting of marked palms must be completed within 3 months of approval
• Replanting: Must occur in the planting season immediately succeeding the cutting

Cluster Mode: Implemented in contiguous areas (clusters)

Geo-tagging: Mandatory for individual beneficiary fields

Input Adjustment: In direct board implementation, beneficiaries often authorize CDB to adjust the rejuvenation subsidy directly with empanelled input suppliers (fertilizers/chemicals) rather than receiving cash.
