Subsidy Amount:

• Public Sector: ₹90 per seedling (100% assistance)
• Private Sector: ₹45 per seedling (50% assistance)

Production Capacity:

• Minimum: 6,250 seedlings per year (0.10 ha area)
• Maximum: 25,000 seedlings per acre
• Non-Traditional Areas: Minimum 3,125 seedlings (relaxation)

Payment Schedule:

• 1st Installment: 50% of eligible subsidy (after sowing seednuts)
• 2nd Installment: 50% of eligible subsidy (after selection of quality seedlings)
• Payment Method: Installments are released through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to your Aadhaar-linked bank account

62.5% Recovery Rule: Subsidy is limited to 62.5% recovery rate of sown nuts. Example: If you sow 10,000 nuts, subsidy is maxed at 6,250 seedlings.

Objective: To encourage private and public sectors to produce quality coconut seedlings to meet the demand-supply gap.

Who Can Apply:

• Individual farmers
• FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations)
• NGOs
• Co-operatives
• Private/Public sector entities

Land Requirements:

• Land ownership or minimum 5-year registered lease
• Permanent irrigation source mandatory (borewell, river, pond, etc.)

Production Capacity:

• Standard: 6,250 to 25,000 seedlings per year
• Non-Traditional/NE Areas: Minimum 3,125 seedlings (relaxation)

Seednut Source:

• Must be from approved mother palms (Govt/ICAR/CDB or certified private gardens)
• Procurement from root wilt disease-affected areas strictly prohibited

⚠️ Important Conditions

Application Fee: ₹1,000 (Non-refundable) - Required

62.5% Recovery Rule:

• Subsidy limited to 62.5% recovery rate of sown nuts
• If recovery is below 62.5%, subsidy is proportionally reduced
• If recovery is above 62.5%, no extra subsidy for excess seedlings

Mandatory Requirements:

• Permanent Irrigation: Mandatory source required
• Nursery Register: Must maintain register recording source, sowing date, germination, and buyer details
• Seednut Source: Govt/ICAR/CDB approved or private sources under technical supervision of CDB committee
• Prohibition: Procurement from root wilt disease areas strictly prohibited
